I am moving within Alberta and in order to take my job with me, SkypeIn would have been the answer...I now need to find another alternative to incoming calls, anyone got any ideas?

Skypein doesn't have numbers in Canada because of the federally mandated requirement for telephone providers to have an emergency service feature (ie.911). Skpe doesn't have this and as such can't provide a telephone number in Canada.

I am totally new to SKYPE. I presently am using Sunrocket and because VOIP’s ABSOLUTELY STINK regarding voice quality….I just have the thing automatically set to forward to my cell. I’d use my cell exclusively except the area code for my cell is long distance for my local friends (cell number is from a time when I was in Dallas—-now I’m in Denton). Anyway, I find having a cheap VOIP for forwarding purposes will keep friends from paying a LD charge and still is very inexpensive. Can I get SKYPE to handle this for me? It looks complicated: Buy the “IN” Buy the “OUT”, convert your phones—yadda yadda yadda. HELP!
