Spreading Firefox
It’s great to see the Mozilla developers really pushing Firefox at the moment.
They must have realized that they have a great product on their hands with some serious potential. I guess I was worried that version 1.0 would be released with a great fanfare, just like other new browsers have done, then fall off into obscurity after a few months pass.
This looks as though it won’t be true of Firefox, Mozilla recently launched Spread Firefox a communal website which aims to rally people together to try and push the browser as far as it can go.
Boy, has it gone… 2 million downloads in 10 days, and that figure is climbing steeply.
I’m excited, this could be the start of something big.
